Serves: 6 (3/4 cup per serving)

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • 10.75 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 32 buttery crushed crackers

Directions

Mix the chicken, vegetables, soup, sour cream, lemon juice, broth, and salt in a large bowl. Spoon the mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. Mix the melted butter and cracker crumbs together and then sprinkle over the casserole. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly and thoroughly heated.

It was most delicious, husband approved! However I didnt think the temp and time to bake were adequate, and they werent! I baked at 350 for 45 min and still was not warm enough! I will do it longer next time for sure. And hubby suggested grated cheese so will try adding a cup or 2 of that next time as well!

I use 1 bag of wide egg noodles 1 can of whole kernel corn I can of cream of mushroom soup 1 can of milk in the soup can then mi the soup and milk together then pour over noodles. Cook the noodles in Chicken broth Combine noodles after cooked with the rest of ingredients I do not use the lemon juice or sour cream. 1 /2 cup bag of shredded cheddar cheese and one sleeve of butter crackers. after adding all ingredients then put cheddar cheese over the noodles and after that add the butter crackers and back for 30 minutes to 45 on 325.

I make this dish but a different way instead of frozen veggies I use a can of sweet corn, carrots

I had high hopes for this dish but it was not a favourite. The sour cream and lemon juice make it too sour. And the creamy soup and sour cream gives this an overly beige creamy texture. It looks like slop on the plate...

Got a coupon for a sample of daisy squeezable sour cream in my influenster voxbox. I decided to choose this recipe off the website and boy am I glad I did. It was both easy and tasty! Definitely fits the comfort food category for those chilly fall nights! I would definitely make it again and the squeezable sour cream was so easy! This was a really good recipe! I added egg noodles to the mix before I baked it and it was delicious!! Will be making again! I recieved the Daisy Sour Cream free for testing purposes from Influenster and it was very flavorful and creamy!!

This recipe is great! I add poppy seeds to the ritz cracker crust to make it a poppy seed chicken recipe. The sour cream makes it very creamy and flavorful!
