  • 16 ounces penne pasta
  • 28 ounce jar marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 1/4 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Cook the pasta as directed on the package; drain and keep warm. In a large saucepan, heat the pasta sauce, sugar and lemon peel until bubbling. Remove the sauce from the heat and stir in the sour cream. Fold the pasta into the sauce until well coated. Portion the pasta into 5 serving bowls and top with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Just tried this recipe book with raviolis, my wife and I love the sauce.

Great recipe! I made it for the kids, and we all loved it. I would omit the sugar, and instead of penne I used alphabet pasta, which of course was a hit. Definitely will make again.

So very delicious and simple. I did not have any Penne pasta, but used linguine and it was enjoyed by all! The next time I will use Penne as it will hold the sauce much better. Daisy sour cream is a superior product.
