Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 16 ounce loaf Hawaiian sweet bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 16 ounce loaf Hawaiian sweet bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

Directions

Cut the bread into 1 ½-inch cubes and set aside. Spray a 13x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. In a medium bowl, stir the brown sugar, melted butter, syrup and flour until well mixed. Sprinkle the pecans in the bottom of the baking dish. Pour the syrup mixture over the pecans. Top evenly with the bread cubes. In a large bowl, beat the eggs, milk, sour cream and maple flavoring with wire whisk until well mixed. Pour over the bread. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour to overnight. Heat the oven to 325 degrees. Uncover the dish. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes. To serve, cut in squares and turn each piece upside down on the serving plate, spooning the syrup from the bottom of the dish over each piece. Refrigerate leftovers.
