Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Time to Table: 20 Minutes

Serves: 3 (3 per serving)

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup 2% milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

Heat a griddle to 350 degrees. Mix the milk, egg, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth in a large bowl. Sift the flour, baking soda, sugar and salt together in a smaller bowl. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until just combined. The batter may be lumpy. Pour 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle, cooking until bubbles rise in the center. Flip pancakes and cook the other side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with your favorite pancake toppings. Tip: for a festive occasion, add food coloring to the batter before cooking. Tip 2: to make holiday shapes, spray metal cookie cutters with non-stick cooking spray or canola oil and pour batter into shapes. Flip the cookie cutters with tongs (they will be hot) until the second side is done. Carefully remove cookie cutters with tongs.

Loved this recipe! The taste and texture are out of this world. I was skeptical, but they are just as good as the old "made from scratch" buttermilk recipe my husband and I have used for years. Saw this advertised in The Magnolia Journal. Figured if it was in there, it had to be good!

These pancakes are very good, adaptable, quick, and moist. Don't take long to whip up or cook. I add little more sugar to mine and, depending on humidity, slight bit more flour (1 Tbls.-1/4 c.). Very tender and moist. I have very compromised tissue in my mouth from radiation and these are very soft, tender, and moist making them ideal for someone with similar condition, and/or dry mouth. Don't even need syrup. Can very easily add blueberries, choc. chips, strawberrries, etc., come out great every time.

Hubby said best pancakes ever - and he likes him some pancakes. Added 1 tsp baking powder and reduced vanilla to 1 tsp - perfection. Nice, fluffy pancakes.

These pancakes have great texture, but I think the vanilla amount is too much. They would probably be better with just a teaspoon of vanilla.

I had never tried to cook pancakes with sour sauce, I liked the recipe very much, they are delicious and very fluffy, you can eat salads and also sweet, this will be my favorite breakfast to eat today, I received the sour cream totally free in my voxbox of influenster.

I love pancakes but had never used sour cream in them before. These were delicious. It was definitely a more substantial pancake than I am used to. It ate like a real meal. My kids loved them. They knew something was different but didn't care. They used a lot less sugary syrup as well. We received this product complimentary from Daisy and Influenster for testing purposes and I'm glad we did. It is on this weeks grocery list now!

These are fluffiest pancakes ever! Easy to make and they taste so good. Wish I would've known about them sooner! I've since made them a few times, and have added a tsp of vanilla to the batter as it adds some sweetness to it. Thanks to Daisy and Influester for the chance to test out Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream!

Not a bad recipe, certainly tastes good! I'm partial to pancakes that are light and fluffy, this recipe makes denser, super moist pancakes that taste really good. We used syrup with them this morning, but these would be great topped with fruit and whipped cream too. I used Daisy's new squeeze tube sour cream to make these, which made it really easy for my 3 year old to help make our breakfast. Thanks Influenster and Daisy for the free product coupon in the SuperMom VoxBox.

This recipe makes super moist pancakes, not bready at all. They cooked well and had a great flavor. I just used regular pancake syrup, but I could see these being great with sliced bananas and Nutella or any other topping. There's not a sour cream flavor at all, if you're worried about that, just a very yummy pancake. I received a coupon for free squeeze sour cream through the influenster program for testing and reviewing purposes, and I'm glad I did! I've always loved Daisy sour cream, but never thought to put it in my pancakes!
