Prep Time: 20 Minutes

Time to Table: 50 Minutes

Serves: 12

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Melt the butter and both chocolates over a double boiler and cool to room temperature. Beat the eggs and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the vanilla to the sugar mixture and then fold in the cooled chocolate mixture. Fold the flour, salt and sour cream into the batter. Add the nuts, if desired, and bake at 350 degrees in a well-greased 8x8-inch pan for 25-30 minutes. *Microwaves can be used instead of a double boiler for melting butter and chocolates, if desired in step one.

Too much flour. My brownies came out cake like while I prefer a chewier, moister brownie. The flavor was good.

The brownies are terrific, and they are even better with a layer of Daisy Sour Cream spread on top! YUM!

Definitely not a fudgy brownie. More like a cake brownie. The only thing that may have made a difference is that the directions said beat eggs and sugar together. I'm wondering if they should have been mixed by hand instead of an electric mixer. Everyone said they tasted as though something was missing. I was truly upset with this recipe taste and consistency. Definitely will not make this again.

Never would have thought to use SOUR CREAM in brownies...but, man! They are delicious! *Received the Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream free for testing purposes!

I have some very picky eaters, except when it comes to their sweet tooth's! And to be honest we are not really fans of Sour Cream; however I thought what a great way to try Sour Cream in one of our Absolute favorite recipes...BROWNIES!! So of course over the weekend I used my Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream and followed the Daisy recipe step by step. I have to say that the Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream made it very easy to measure precisely without wasting any and blended very smoothly and quickly! End result the best tasting Brownies we have ever had!! Of course I had to tell them after they said they loved them about the "special ingredient" and of course they were all shocked and also agreed that these were the best brownies by far!! Disclosure: I tried Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream for free for testing purposes!

My son wanted brownies, and guess who went ahead and had to recreate this recipe.. MOM! I recently received Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream for free for testing purposes, and loved that I could put it to good use. My son loved it, and so did the rest of my family.

I tried Daisy Squeeze Sour Cream for free for testing purposes and decided to try this brownie recipe curious. Licking the bowl after putting the pan in the oven I was in my own little world. Couldn't wait for the brownies to come out of the oven the batter was so chocolatey. Once the brownies were out of the oven within a half hour the brownies were over half gone. Very rich and chocolatey. Great recipe.

I made this recipe from Daisy Sour cream which I received free for testing purposes. These brownies came out very moist and cake like. They were delicious. I didn't add the pecans for personal preference. Also, I prefer a more dense recipe but if you like cake like brownies, this is the recipe to use. I put some vanilla frosting on top and it was extra delicious! Almost like a cupcake. In fact, I will use this recipe again but as cupcakes.
