Serves: 5 (1/2 cup per serving)


  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup diced celery
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper


Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces and place into a large bowl. Add pecans, celery and chopped dill to the chicken. Toss well. In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream and the mayonnaise. Stir the mixture into the chicken salad. Season the salad with salt and pepper. Chill if desired before serving.

I've always used Mayo, never sour cream so I really enjoyed the less sweet denser consistency with the sour cream. I can't eat nuts so I needed something for brightness of flavor so I substitued some celery seed which gave it some texture and pop but blended beautifully with the flavors. smoothed on sour dough bread with vibrant red summer tomato and it was delicious! I've been eating it for lunch every day this week!
