Ingredients

  • 4 strips of bacon, diced
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup Daisy Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 container vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Line 12 regular size muffin cups with paper liners or spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until very crisp. Remove to a paper towel to drain.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, sage, baking powder and salt with wire whisk until well blended. Stir in the cooked bacon and set aside.
  4. In another large bowl, beat the sour cream, milk, vegetable oil and egg with wire whisk until well blended. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients. Fold in only until all ingredients are moistened.
  5. Spoon the batter evenly in the muffin cups, filling almost full.
  6. Bake for 18 to 23 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
