  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 medium avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 1 1/4 cups Daisy Cottage Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

Layer the black beans on a 10-inch serving plate. Sprinkle the beans with chili powder, cumin and lime peel. Layer the avocado over the beans; drizzle with lime juice. Top with diced tomatoes. This recipe is a great start to a layered dip, but I found it to be a little bland. I added several additional spices (onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, Cayenne, chili powder) and some extra salt. Overall, a decent recipe, just needed some extra pizazz. The Daisy sour cream was a perfect addition; nice and cool and creamy.
