Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the egg and continue creaming until light in color. Mix the flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt together in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture alternately with sour cream to the creamed butter and sugar mixture. Stir in the pecans. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Spray a flat-bottomed drinking glass with nonstick cooking spray; dip in sugar. Press the glass on each cookie to flatten, dipping in sugar as needed. Bake on middle oven rack at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
