Light Waffles

Serves: 4 (3 per serving)


  • 1 1/4 cups skim milk
  • 1/2 cup egg substitute
  • 1/2 cup Daisy Light Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour


Heat a waffle iron as directed by the manufacturer. In a large bowl, beat the milk, egg substitute, sour cream and oil with wire whisk until well blended. Whisk in the sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir in the flour until well blended. Brush the plates of the waffle iron lightly with oil as needed. Bake the batter as directed in the waffle iron by the manufacturer. Serve with your favorite syrup and fresh mixed berries.
