Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 cup pecans, blueberries, or mashed bananas *optional add-ins

Directions

Mix dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk, and the sour cream. Beat until smooth. Fold in optional pecans, blueberries or bananas mashed if desired. Beat until smooth. Pour 1/4-1/3 cup of batter onto the middle of a hot waffle iron sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Cook approximately 3-4 minutes, until waffles are light brown and fluffy. Serve topped with powdered sugar, fruit or syrup. *It’s important that the blueberries (frozen are best) be gently folded in and not mixed in to prevent the batter from changing to a purple color.
