Ingredients

  • 8 ounces dried fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and keep warm in a large bowl. In 2-quart saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic. Cook and stir until garlic is very lightly browned (1 to 2 minutes). Add flour; continue stirring, until flour is bubbly (about 1 minute). Add half and half. Continue stirring until sauce thickens slightly (3 to 4 minutes). Add Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese melts (30 seconds). Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream until sauce is smooth (1 minute). Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over pasta until well coated. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
